Self Catering Speyside
Our beautiful self-catering cottages are located near Speyside, towards the northern edge of the National Park. The name derives from the region of Strathspey which follows the course of the river Spey, home to some of the finest distilleries in the world.
Converted from a 19th century working farmstead, our three stylish cottages are designed and furnished with comfort and luxury in mind. Each cottage is eqiupped with a log-burning fire for the unseasonal Scottish weather. Our cottages are nestled on a hillside overlooking the River Avon and the surrounding estate. The bright and spacious rooms feature large windows so you can enjoy the stunning views from virtually anywhere in the cottage. Within all the rooms you will find the modern luxuries you can expect from a large hotel chain, with the additional personal touch from our family-run business.
Within each cottage you can find a fully equipped kitchen to use during your stay. Self-catering is one of the best ways to enjoy the fresh local produce of Speyside, offering many benefits over all-inclusive catering including flexibility and cost-effective. Your friendly hosts will be more than happy to advise on local shops. We accept deliveries from supermarkets even when you are away.

Cairngorms National Park Accommodation

Established in 2003, the Cairngorms National Park proudly holds the title of the largest National Park in the UK, covering 4,528 km² of varied habitats. Although entirely landlocked, there are plenty of lochs and rivers flowing from the heart of the Cairngorms.
With a staggering 55 of the 282 Scottish Munros within the boundary of the park, the Cairngorms National Park truly lives up the name of the Highlands. Over 36% of the park's area is above 800m in altitude, providing a rare sub-arctic climate throughout the year. As a result of this, the Cairngorms carries a huge appeal for those keen to participate in winter sports. The Cairngorms is well-known for its spectacular ski resorts, even during the spring months. There are plenty to explore for climbers and hikers, and indeed they are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views.
The ancient pine forests of the Cairngorms is one of the most important sites of natural heritage conservation, even in a European context. It's home to 25% of all threatened bird, mammal, insect and plant species in the UK, some of which can only be found in the Cairngorms, including the elusive ptarmigan and the UK's only free-roaming herd of wild reindeers.

Dog Friendly Cottages Cairngorms
At Cairngorms Holiday Cottages we welcome guests which truly appreciate the Highlands, no matter how many legs they have. The Cairngorms, and indeed the entirety of Scottish Highlands is extremely dog friendly, with many paws-friendly walking routes and drinking holes for well-behaved humans.
We welcome up to 2 dogs (of any size) at each cottage. Please let us know at the time of booking if you wish to bring your pet- there is an additional cost of £15 per dog irrespective of the duration of the stay. We ask that the dogs are not allowed on the furniture nor in the bedrooms. Please bring your own beds and other supplies such as food and water bowls. If required, we do have a limited range of basic essentials available at no extra cost. Cairngorms Holiday Cottages are well-connected with local dog walking routes (just walk out of the door!); we will be more than happy to make recommendations on pet-friendly attractions and facilities in the local area.

The Cairngorms is an ideal location to bring your family pet- they need a holiday too! There are miles upon miles of countryside on which they can stretch their legs. However, general etiquette should be observed while you are on private land. While you have legal right to traverse across the land, you should respect any wildlife or livestock present and keep your pet on a leash where necessary- regardless of how well-behaved they are.
